AICPA members work in all sectors of the business and financial services profession, including Public Accounting, Financial Planning, Tax, Business & Industry, Law, Consulting, Education and Government.
The minimum educational requirement to sit for the U.S. CPA exam is generally a four years university degree. Most states require 150 university semester hours before you can sit for the CPA exam.
Currently ACCA membership is recognised by the Colorado State Board of Accountancy as meeting the educational requirements to sit for the US Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. The majority of ACCA members who pass the CPA exam may apply for licensing as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Colorado, USA after completing a qualifications evaluation.
Eligibility: High School through CAT ( Certified Accounting Technician ) Route and 12th std. passed with marks of 65% in English and Accounts or Maths.
Duration : ACCA + CPA : 5 years for High School, 4 years for Higher Secondary, 2.5 - years for B.com.
Duration only for CPA : 6 month for M.com, MBA, CA inter,ICWA, CS, Msc. finance or and any other 4 years Graduation with the major subjects in accounts, commerce, Finance
